More Information ▼

This collage was part of works completed in conjunction with Ferro’s Guggenheim Fellowship in 1972. Ferro noted in his journal: Lodestone(1004) made use of an idea I thought of while lying in bed. I used a circular magnet and a bar magnet strip, paper was placed over both and iron filings were placed on top. Then fixed and dried. Still like the idea but uncertain of overall results.”

For more information about the work included in the Guggenheim application, as well as those works completed during the fellowship, please visit the ABOUT section.
